“How can I fall in love with the English language?”๐Ÿ’•

Maybe you’ve been trying to learn English, but something is stopping your progress-you just don’t care for the language!

Don’t worry. That’s alright. We’re not offended. Every language is different and everyone has preferences. But, maybe you need to learn the language for class or business. How can you overcome this obstacle and start making progress?

Before we begin giving tips, remember, all relationships take time. Rarely is it love at first sight (or sound in this case). Try falling in “like” first. Once you start to like the language, it can grow into love. And if it never reaches love, you’ve gained a great, new friend ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ˜‰

Step 1. Learn more about the culture. Finding something you like in the culture will help you to appreciate the language. Maybe you find a movie, a book, or a show you like from a country where English is the main language. Now, your appreciation for the language can grow as you hear your favorite characters say catchy phrases ๐Ÿ™‚

Step 2. Try some food! For example, tasting foods and learning about foods that are common in the US or the UK may help you to get an idea of different regions, their history, and their environment.

Step 3. Become friends with native English speakers. Make it a goal to meet native English speakers and begin communicating with them. As your friendship grows, your love for the language may, too.

We hope these tips help! Keep up the good work and don’t give up!
